When Love Gives Up Its Right - North

In 1 Corinthians 8–11, Paul reminds us that Christian maturity isn’t just about knowing what we’re free to do, but knowing when love calls us to lay down our rights for the sake of others and the gospel. Our freedom was never meant to serve our own preferences; it has a greater purpose: glorifying God and removing obstacles that keep others from knowing Him. We can enjoy the freedoms God gives us while choosing to limit them when love requires it. If we want to glorify God in all things, we must learn to imitate Jesus, who gave up His rights to serve others.
