In 1 Corinthians 7, Paul challenges us to trust God’s design for singleness, marriage, sexuality, and purpose—even when His way doesn’t fit our preferences or extremes. Singleness is not a lesser calling, marriage is not a temporary commitment, and your relationship status does not determine your purpose. Your purpose is defined by your relationship with the Lord. Instead of chasing the status we think will fulfill us, we’re invited to faithfully follow God right where He has placed us.
