The Question That Changes Everything

At the heart of Gospel of Mark is a question that demands a personal answer: Who is Jesus Christ really? In Gospel of Mark chapter 8, Peter the Apostle declares that Jesus is the Christ—the Messiah. But instead of claiming an earthly throne, Jesus reveals that His mission leads to suffering and the cross. He came not to overthrow Rome, but to defeat sin, death, and Satan.
