Ecclesiastes 12 brings the message of the book to its conclusion: fear God and keep His commandments. The fear of God isn’t about being terrified of Him—it’s about living with such an overwhelming awareness of who God is that His reality becomes the controlling reality of your life. When God becomes the biggest thing in your life, everything else finds its proper size. This message challenges us to stop seeking more information while ignoring what God has already made clear, and to move from knowing God’s Word to obeying it. Because grace doesn’t make obedience unnecessary—it makes obedience possible. Put God back where He belongs.
