EASTER AT RISE

Marked By Service

What should truly mark the church? In Philippians 2, Paul reveals that it isn’t buildings, programs, or even theology alone—it’s service. Writing from prison, Paul points not to his suffering but to Jesus, who willingly emptied Himself and took the form of a servant. This wasn’t weakness, but power expressed through love. From the early church caring for one another, to God’s commands to provide for the poor, Scripture makes it clear: God’s people are marked by self-giving love. Our lives aren’t about accumulating, but about emptying ourselves for others. The real question isn’t whether we have something to give—but whether we’ll choose to give it.
