Forgiveness In Real Life
Oct 26, 2025 • Jarrod McClintick
This message challenges us to see forgiveness not as a one-time act but as a daily discipline. In Matthew 18, Peter asks how many times we should forgive—seven times? Jesus answers, “seventy times seven,” revealing not a number to count but a nature to embody.
Through the parable of the unmerciful servant, we see ourselves—freely forgiven yet quick to demand justice. We worship on Sunday, singing of grace, but by Tuesday, we’re keeping score again. Forgiveness isn’t weakness; it’s warfare—fought daily in our thoughts and actions.
We forgive, and then forgive again, preaching the gospel to ourselves each time—remembering the unpayable debt we owed that Christ canceled in full.
